How happy are you happy in your job?       

                                                           

What % of employees would you say are actively engaged at their place of work?

A 2019 Gallup Poll shows it is 11%!

68% are not engaged and 21% are actively disengaged.

There are three key things for staff motivation:

  • having a clear purpose,
  • autonomy (some freedom and self-governance),
  • self-developing through education programmes or training.

 

Employees who report being happy at work take 10 times fewer sick days than unhappy employees. In addition, happier employees stay twice as long in their jobs than unhappy employees. (Source: iOpener Institute for People and Performance)

 

This not only affects us as human beings but also the success and profitability of the organisations we work in.
